ABOUT ME
I’m Michelle Koe Page, an unbreakable mom of faith but I wasn’t always. Becoming a mom brought about challenges that I never imagined. Everything from the terrible twos to the drama filled emotional rollercoaster ride of the teenage years. There have been times when I had to rely on what I’ll call “mainstream” ways of parenting but this way left me feeling desperate and like a complete failure as a mom when things got really tough. It was then that I had to look somewhere else for help and that led me back to my faith. As a cradle Catholic, I grew up going to church and knowing about God but I never really knew Him. When I had nowhere else to turn, God was there to lead me on a journey that strengthened and deepened my faith so that I could wholeheartedly trust Him no matter what life threw at me.
BORING STUFF ABOUT ME
In addition to being a mom, I am also an integrative pharmacist- meaning that I don’t believe that prescription medications are the only way to combat diseases.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut and my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University. I completed my general residency at Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound in Seattle, Washington. I went on to receive many other certifications including one in Geriatric Pharmacy where I’ve spent the majority of my career, but I’ve also spent time as a consultant to ambulatory surgery centers and dialysis centers. Along the way I’ve held a number of leadership positions in pharmacy on both the state and national level, including being elected as the President of the Connecticut Pharmacist Association.
Somehow, my personal journey with health and fitness collided with my pharmacy background which led me to focus on preventative medicine and alternative therapies. This stuff was waaay more interesting than traditional pharmacy practice.
